Upgrade Your Basement with Comfortable, Stylish Foam Flooring

A cold, hard basement floor doesn't have to stay that way. Interlocking foam tiles add warmth and cushion underfoot, resist moisture better than carpet, and come in enough colors and textures — including realistic wood-look prints — to fit whatever you're turning the space into, from a home gym to a playroom to a finished hangout spot.

How to Install Foam Floor Tiles

No adhesive, no tools, no experience needed. Foam floor tiles interlock edge to edge, so you can lay out a full room, trim pieces to fit corners and doorways easily, and have a finished floor down in an afternoon — with the flexibility to lift and rearrange them just as easily if your space changes down the line.

Frequently Asked Questions

What thickness should I choose?
It comes down to how the space gets used. Thinner tiles (3/8"1/2") work well for standing, light stretching, or everyday floor protection. Mid-range (5/8") adds noticeably more cushion, and thicker tiles (3/4"1") give the most impact absorption for weights, drops, or high-activity use.
Do all of your tile lines come in every thickness?
No — Standard is the only line available in all four thicknesses (3/8", 1/2", 3/4", 1"). Carpet Top and Rubber Top are currently made only in 3/8". Tatami Top comes in 1/2", 3/4", and 1". Our Forest Floor wood-tone tiles come in 3/8" and 5/8". See the comparison section above for the full breakdown by line.
What's the difference between 12" and 24" tiles?
It's mainly an installation trade-off. 12" x 12" tiles mean more seams but more flexibility for cutting around corners, furniture, or an irregular room shape. 24" x 24" tiles cover more ground per piece, which means fewer seams and a faster install for open, rectangular spaces.
How much floor does one tile cover?
A 12" x 12" tile covers 1 square foot. A 24" x 24" tile covers 4 square feet. To estimate how many you need, measure your room's square footage and divide by the tile size you're planning to use.
How do I clean and care for my tiles?
Standard, Rubber Top, and Forest Floor tiles wipe clean easily with a damp cloth and mild soap. Carpet Top tiles should be vacuumed regularly and spot-cleaned rather than soaked, since moisture can take longer to dry through the carpet layer. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, which can break down the surface over time. See our General FAQs for more care tips.
Can I combine different colors or textures in the same room?
Yes — all of our tiles use the same interlocking edge system, so you can mix colors, and in most cases textures, within a single layout. Just be sure to use the same thickness for a smooth finish.
