Stay Active All Season Without the Gym
Summer is the perfect excuse to ditch the gym and take your workouts outside. No membership fees, no packed parking lots, no waiting for equipment — just fresh air, open space, and the motivation that comes with a little sunshine.
The best part? You don't need much to put together a solid workout space at home. A few smart equipment choices and you've got everything you need to stay active all season long. Here's what we recommend.
Start with the Right Mat
Whether you're doing yoga flows in the morning, core work at night, or a full HIIT session in the backyard, a quality exercise mat is non-negotiable. It protects your hands, knees, and back — and makes the difference between a workout you power through and one you cut short because the ground is uncomfortable.
We carry options at every price point:
Budget-friendly: Core Basic Folding Exercise Mat Our most affordable mat, available in soft pastel colors including light blue and lavender. Folds up in seconds, easy to carry outside, and gets the job done for most bodyweight and floor-based workouts. Available in 2' x 6', 4' x 6', and 4' x 8' — size up if you like room to move.
Step up: Classic Folding Exercise Mat Thicker materials, more cushion, more comfort — especially noticeable during longer sessions or if you're hard on your joints. Available in 4' x 6' and 4' x 8'. If you're serious about your home workout routine, the upgrade is worth it.
Use Your Incline Mat as a Step-Up Box
Here's one people don't always think about — our Cheese Wedge Incline Mat isn't just for gymnastics. That firm foam wedge doubles as an incredibly versatile workout prop for general fitness too.
Use it as a step-up box for:
- Step-ups — drive one knee up at the top for an extra glute burn
- Incline push-ups — hands elevated on the wedge for an easier variation, or feet elevated for a harder one
- Decline crunches — feet hooked over the top, lean back into a crunch
- Box jumps (low impact) — the foam surface is forgiving on landing, making it great for beginners working on explosiveness
- Calf raises — stand with your heels hanging off the edge for a deep stretch and strengthen
It's sturdy, it's safe, and it's already sitting in your home gym. Put it to work beyond gymnastics season.
Set Up a Full Outdoor Workout Space with Foam Tiles
If you want to take things a step further and create a real dedicated outdoor workout area, our foam floor tiles are the move. They interlock in minutes, protect your joints from hard surfaces like concrete and pavers, and pack up just as quickly when you're done.
We carry them in multiple thicknesses and styles so your outdoor space can actually look good:
- 3/8" Multi-Purpose Tiles — available in more colors than ever including new pastel shades. Perfect for cardio, stretching, and light strength work
- ½” Tiles — extra cushion for higher-impact workouts, jumping, or anyone who wants a softer surface underfoot
- Forest Floor Print — a nature-inspired print that actually looks at home outdoors
- Marble Print — for the person who wants their workout space to look as good as it functions
Lay down 6–12 tiles, grab your mat and your incline wedge, and you've got a complete outdoor gym that takes up zero permanent space in your yard.
