Digital and Social Media Content Specialist

We Sell Mats is hiring a full time Digital and Social Media Content Specialist to join our team in Mooresville, NC. This individual will work under the Content Manager to accelerate our digital presence on various social media platforms such as, Amazon,, and other eCommerce channels. This creative individual will not only be responsible for day-to-day product image management, he/she will develop visual content that speaks to and drives engagement with customer personas across various B2C and B2B sectors. The ideal candidate for this position must be highly organized with a strong desire to help increase company-wide sales growth.

Essential Functions:

  • Concept and coordinate photo and video shoots including scheduling, prop procurement, styling, and communication agendas/shot lists to entire team involved
  • Shoot in-house high-resolution images of products accurately and consistency to help create demand for our products by helping our customers understand key features/benefits/technical specifications that effectively communicate the value of each product
  • Provide high-level photo retouching and digital manipulation for use online and in e-mail campaigns
  • Upload, organize, and maintain new and archived product images
  • Create videos and edit videos for our entire catalog for use on our website, social media, and other online selling channels as needed
  • Operate and maintain photo and video equipment as needed
  • Research and comprehend current and developing design, photography, and video trends
  • Optimize and post content to multiple social media platforms
  • Monitor and report on social media performance monthly
  • Consistently deliver results and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Understanding and development of sources of traffic, as well as the factors that influence it (e-mail blasts, digital advertising, social media paid promotions, offline marketing such as trade shows and industry sponsorships)
  • Ability to collaborate with key internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work occasional nights/weekends at customer locations or at events as needed (advance notice will be given)

Experience, Competencies, and Education:

  • 3-5 years’ experience developing photography and videography for online digital content for e-retailers; work samples are REQUIRED 
  • 2-3 years’ experience with social media, especially Facebook and Instagram 
  • Highly creative with ability to see the “bigger picture”
  • Understanding of current social media and eCommerce trends and best practices
  • General knowledge of digital advertising
  • Ability to be a team player who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while being self-motivated and capable of working independently with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Desire to meet and exceed all performance objectives such as sales, conversion, customer engagement
  • Working knowledge of iMovie, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects (or similar photo/video editing software)
  • Comfortable working with customers who may provide gyms or other places of business for photography or videography of our products in use
  • Associate or Bachelor degree in visual/graphic art, photography, videography, digital media, or another related discipline preferred
  • Must be a US citizen or legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be able to provide your own transportation to work


  • The ability to create keyword-rich product description content is highly desired but not required
  • Working knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) and Big Commerce platforms is a plus but not required
  • Basic knowledge of Google Analytics is a plus
  • Understanding of current Amazon image and content requirements
