A sturdy middle ground between our entry-level 3/8-inch mats and the heavier-duty 3/4-inch mats, our 1/2-inch mats are a goldilocks "just-right" solution designed for those spaces where you need more than moderate, light-traffic padding, but your needs (or your budget) are not so great that you need the extra substance a 3/4-inch mat provides.
Choosing the Right Thickness
Our 1/2-inch thickness is ideal for settings where a little extra padding goes a long way, such as any place where you need to stand for an extended period of time (think cash registers, the kitchen sink, or any standing work station), or a small space where you want to do bodyweight exercises such as sit-ups, push-ups, or those dreaded burpees. If your plans involve setting up a semi-permanent home fitness area or any other high-impact scenario, it's worth upgrading to our 3/4-inch thickness. Keep in mind that no matter the thickness, EVA foam is a soft product and heavy equipment or furniture is likely to leave a permanent indentation.
Keep it Clean
The closed-cell structure of EVA foam makes our interlocking foam mats water resistant and simple to clean. Dry cleaning is a snap with regular broom or vacuum cleaner, and in the event of a spill, simply pull up the affected mat(s), wipe them down, and allow them to air dry before re-assembling your floor. If you want to wet-clean your entire floor, you can literally hose the mats down (outdoors, of course!), allow them to air dry, and re-assemble. In most cases, water is all you'll need. A mild solution of soap and water will likely take care of more stubborn messes, and we always recommend that you make sure to try any commercial cleaning product in a small, inconspicuous area of the mat prior to cleaning the whole surface.

Super easy to install and made a great floor in the wife's quilting room.
They work well are are good quality
Fast shipping. Easy to install. Heavy objects leave indentations that may or may not resolve, but you could do things to prevent this or just live with it. Not a big deal.
We put these in an unfinished basement where we do laundry and work out. They're so nice to stand on instead of cold concrete!
Bought these for my workout area. For milder workouts, they're great, but higher impact seems to pull them apart. I put a non-slip pad under them and that has helped. They didn't do well on carpet.
These mats are exactly what we needed! Neither my husband nor I have time to go to a gym. Sometimes we end up doing workouts at 2 in the morning. We covered our living room in these mats. They're comfortable, durable, and are great for yoga. I take the mats apart when I'm done and haven't had a single problem.
