Commercial, Industrial, Heavy-duty - One Mat Does It All

industrial warehouse

When you’ve got a heavy-duty job to do, what are you going to put under your feet while you do it? The same way you wouldn’t work on a construction site in bare feet or sandals, it doesn’t make sense to leave your floors exposed to the rigors of a commercial or industrial environment. A damaged floor can be expensive to replace (or you could just leave it and have an unsightly and potentially dangerous scar on your property value), but interlocking tile is easily installed and easily maintained. Even if you somehow manage to damage it (they don’t call ‘em heavy-duty for nothing), you can swap out a tile for less than $10, rather than the hundreds or even thousands you might pay for a damaged floor.

We use strong, fully-recyclable PVC to make our heavy-duty mats. EVA is great for its intended applications, but to fall back on the shoe metaphor, it’s sort of like the tennis shoe of the floor mat world – sometimes you need a steel-toed boot, and that’s where the heavy-duty mats come in. It’s heavy (hence the need to ship by freight if you order over a hundred tiles), so that it can stand up to oils, chemicals, warehouse and garage environments, and most siege engines and forms of medieval warfare. At least, we’re pretty sure about those last two.

The heavy-duty mats can come with either a smooth surface or a coin-top surface depending on what you want to use them for. If you need a surface with a little more grip, the coin-top might be your best option. Whichever one you choose, both are super-easy to install, require no tools or adhesives, and can be replaced on an individual basis when necessary, making them one of the cheapest flooring options you can use in a heavy-duty environment. As always, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us by email, phone or Facebook (fans get 5% off on every order!) if you have any questions!
